Associate Director Applications Open Now

Alliance Group is offering shareholders who are interested in developing a career in governance (or their immediate family members) the opportunity to apply for our Associate Director Programme.

This programme aims to enhance the governance capability of people who are embarking on a governance career and are interested in accelerating their boardroom experience. The appointment is for 12 months, from August 2022 to the end of the July 2023 board meeting. While this is not a paid role, it offers the opportunity for an emerging director to gain real world experience that cannot be replicated on a course, including exposure to Alliance Directors and Management for networking and coaching/mentoring. The experience aims to enable the Associate Director to identify their governance next steps and build their governance confidence.

If successful, you will be assigned Board members to act as mentors and provided an induction programme aimed at broadening your understanding of Alliance Group, its business and the environment and markets in which it operates. You will be entitled to attend Board and Committee meetings, participate in discussions and receive certain documentation about the Company’s activities and performance.

Associate Director Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must be actively involved in livestock farming.
• Applicants (or an immediate family member) must be a shareholder and supplier with Platinum or Gold supplier status, either directly or by way of a beneficial interest in a shareholding entity.
• Applicants must not be an employee of the Company or any subsidiary of the Company.
• Preference will be given to those applicants who can demonstrate their desire to positively influence our co-operative into the future. Successful applicants are likely to be involved in, or aspire to, leadership/governance roles in their community.
