Voting opens in Alliance Group Directors’ election
17 November 2024
Voting has opened to fill two positions for the office of Director of Alliance Group. Three candidates are standing for election:
- Gray Baldwin from Putāruru in South Waikato
- Cameron Black from Riverton in Southland
- Matt Iremonger from Banks Peninsula in Canterbury.
Former chair Murray Taggart retired from the Board in April and current farmer-director Jason Miller is not standing for re-election.
“Voting is one of the most important ways for Alliance shareholders to shape the direction of our co-operative,” said Mark Wynne, chair of Alliance.
“Alliance Group has always been about farmers working together for our shared success, striving to be a high-performing company that delivers value to its shareholders.
“I encourage every farmer-shareholder to take the opportunity to vote for who they believe will best represent the interests and future of our business.”
The election is being conducted by internet and postal voting using the First Past the Post voting method.
Voting packs, together with information about the candidates, have been sent to all Alliance shareholders.
The election result will be announced at the Annual Meeting of shareholders in Gore on Wednesday 18 December 2024.
