The grass-fed difference
A diet of nutrient-rich grass produces red meat that is leaner, finely textured and more naturally flavorful.
Our grass-fed difference
The clean air and plentiful pure water produce the year-round growth of lush, green pastures. The animals are raised year-round, on this pasture, with the ability to roam and graze freely.
Unlock real flavour
We’ve gone to great lengths to lock in real flavour. It only makes sense we’d show you the best way to unlock it.
Grass-fed attributes
Free-range throughout the seasons
Prime animals delivered under the New Zealand Farm Assurance Programme (NZFAP)
Fed on nutrient-dense, protein, and iron-rich grasses
Optimal meat and fat colour
Excellent marbling (intramuscular fat) resulting in high levels of omega-3, meat juiciness, and diverse taste profiles
Low PH — lactic acid minimised by careful handling (tenderness and flavour not compromised)
Ageing for elevated tenderness and intensified flavour
Nutrition & environment
Grass-fed red meat, in contrast to its grain-fed counterpart, presents a naturally leaner composition, featuring reduced saturated fat and calorie content, alongside heightened levels of beneficial omega-3 fatty acids with a more favourable omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, increased antioxidants, and enriched vitamins A and E, as well as conjugated linoleic acids.
Additionally, New Zealand’s grass-focused farming approach prioritises sustainability, harnessing natural resources and employing eco-conscious farming techniques to minimise environmental impact. By harnessing rainwater to nurture grass growth, farmers harmonise livestock development with the natural rhythm of grass growth, thereby lessening environmental strain.
