Alliance Group Appoints Interim CEO

Alliance Group announced today the appointment of Willie Wiese, General Manager Manufacturing, as interim CEO, effective 10 February 2023.

“The board is working through a process to recruit a new CEO. Given this may take several months, we wanted to ensure seamless continuity,” said Alliance Group Chair Murray Taggart.

Since joining Alliance Group in December 2017, Willie has led the co-operative’s Manufacturing Excellence Programme, which has significantly improved operational performance across the co-operative’s plant network. This programme has included an unprecedented investment in technology such as primal cutters and warehouse automation, along with gains in yield performance and health and safety.

“Willie and the executive leadership team will ensure our strategic and operational priorities continue to progress until a permanent appointment is made.”
